There are several alternative refrigerants available to replace R404a, including R407F, R407H, R448A, R449A, and R452A. Please note that the system must be completely evacuated before charging it with the new refrigerant—mixing the old R404a with the new gas is not allowed. All other system components are generally compatible and do not require modification. However, we recommend checking your machine’s specifications carefully before selecting the appropriate replacement gas.
